The Shopping Village is a simple concept allowing web retailers to leverage the advantages of cluster development in the same way that, in the 'real' world, restaurants, car-sales yards, antique shops etc can be found co-located.

Retailers rent space for a moderate monthly fee. Retailers do not need to have any programming skills; information is provided to the webmaster ('The Village Management') in an agreed form and all setup is provided by the management at a nominal charge. Secure credit card facilities can be provided.

Retailers receive orders by email and are responsible for servicing all orders, enquiries etc.

The management arrange search engine optimisation, and link exchanges to suitable sites. These are all included in the monthly fee.
