I am Lesley Gager and I've been painting for over 25 years, teaching the mediums of watercolour, oil, acrylic and pastel. My philosophy is that painting is a release of the spirit within, through expression and learning of the different mediums. So therefore it is fantastically beneficial for wellness and healing. 

I run residential art workshops at my home just north of Auckland. Those who come to workshop receive comprehensive teaching with a few others in a relaxed and really friendly atmosphere.

My paintings are in collections in many countries, including Germany, England, U.S.A. Being asked to exhibit on the restored sailing ship ‘James Craig’ a few years ago in Sydney at its relaunching after restoration was a huge highlight of my painting career.

I live at Manly Beach (near Auckland New Zealand) which has a tremendous influence on subject matter. I am a “sea” person through involvement in boating - kayaking, and these days cruising the Gulf in ‘Korama’ a Logan-built launch which is nearly 100 year old, with my husband Gus. Gus is a huge supporter and help (framing). All subject matter interests me but marine subjects are some of my favourites to paint. 

I have done a lot of commission work in the past and am available for more.
